2026 Q1 Powersports Market Report: Motorcycle & ATV Values, Segment Trends & Industry Outlook
POWERSPORTS MARKET INDUSTRY OVERVIEW
Powersports values are trending strongly heading into the 2026 spring selling season, with Cruiser and Sportbike retail values both posting meaningful year-over-year gains. Cruiser average retail values for the most recent 10 model years reached $10,187 in March–April 2026, up from $8,850 during the same window in 2025 — a 15% increase. Sportbike values similarly climbed to $12,607 in the same period, well ahead of the $11,678 recorded a year prior, signaling robust pricing momentum across the two most-viewed segments.
At the manufacturer level, Indian Motorcycle is gaining ground on Harley-Davidson in the Cruiser segment across both consumer and F&I channels, while Kawasaki is capturing Sportbike share at Yamaha’s expense. Can-Am stands out as the clear winner in the ATV and Side by Side categories, posting a remarkable +7% consumer traffic gain in Utility ATVs and a +8% F&I surge in Sport ATVs — suggesting customers aren’t just browsing Can-Am, they’re buying. Utility Side by Sides also delivered a standout performance, with average retail values up 17% year-over-year to $12,366, supported by a favorable economic backdrop of stable unemployment and rising consumer spending on recreational goods and vehicles.
